Day of Valor, also known as Araw ng Kagitingan, is a national holiday in the Philippines observed on April 9 each year. It commemorates the heroism of Filipino and American soldiers during World War II, particularly the fall of Bataan in 1942 and the bravery shown during the infamous Bataan Death March. The day honors the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of those who fought for freedom, even in the face of overwhelming adversity.
